PoF Wi-Fi 6 AP · Dual-Mode XPON (GPON / EPON)

uAPAX30H

The uAPAX30H is a ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 access point with a dual-mode XPON (GPON / EPON) uplink and Power over Fiber (PoF). A single PoF optical-electric composite cable from the SP-POF splitter carries both the optical signal and DC power to the unit — over runs of up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) — so no local outlet is needed at the ceiling; dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 and one Gigabit Ethernet port serve the room below.

Why uAPAX30H

Wi-Fi 6 where power can't easily go

Powered over fiber

Powered from the SP-POF splitter over the composite cable, on runs of up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) — no local outlet needed at the ceiling, and power and optical transmission do not interfere with each other. A 12 V DC local input is also provided.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000

802.11ax on both bands with 160 MHz channels, MU-MIMO and OFDMA, for up to 256 connected devices — built-in antennas keep the ceiling profile clean.

Low-profile ceiling mount

195 × 195 × 35 mm and 400 g, with built-in Wi-Fi antennas for a clean ceiling installation in lobbies, classrooms and conference rooms.

Centralized management

OAM / OMCI management with compatible OLT platforms, plus TR-069, Web and Telnet — the AP is run like the rest of the PON.

Applications

Where the uAPAX30H works

Hotels & hospitality

Wi-Fi 6 coverage for hotel lobbies and restaurants from a low-profile ceiling unit.

Classrooms

Wi-Fi 6 with MU-MIMO and OFDMA for dense classrooms, with up to 256 connected devices.

Conference rooms

Ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 and a Gigabit port for wired devices, powered over the fiber drop.

Enterprise

IPv4/IPv6 dual stack and Layer 3 functions for business access on the PON.

System Fit

Fed by the SP-POF, managed by the OLT

The uAPAX30H is fed from a UGrid U5 or U8 OLT through an SP-POF PoF power splitter, which delivers the optical signal and DC power together over the PoF composite cable to the ceiling — a powered reach of up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft). The AP then serves PCs over its Gigabit port and wireless clients over Wi-Fi 6. See the system on the Power over Fiber overview.

FAQ

uAPAX30H questions, answered

Does the uAPAX30H need a power outlet at the ceiling?

No. It is powered at 44–57 V DC over the PoF optical-electrical composite cable from an SP-POF splitter — on runs of up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) — and consumes ≤18 W. A 12 V DC local power input is also provided if local power is preferred.

Does the uAPAX30H work on GPON and EPON?

Yes. Its uplink is dual-mode XPON: GPON (Class B+) or EPON (PX20+), over a single-mode composite port rated for 20 km.

How many clients can one uAPAX30H serve?

Up to 256 connected devices, across dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 (574 Mbps at 2.4 GHz + 2,402 Mbps at 5 GHz) with 160 MHz channels, MU-MIMO and OFDMA.

How is the uAPAX30H managed?

By OAM / OMCI with compatible OLT platforms, and by TR-069, Web or Telnet — with IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, multiple SSIDs and WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 Personal security.

Where can the uAPAX30H be installed?

It is a ceiling-mount unit for indoor spaces — hotel lobbies, restaurants, classrooms and conference rooms — operating from −10 °C to +55 °C at 195 × 195 × 35 mm and 400 g.
